Welcome rain, my name's Allisa

Like I've said, I'm really not a nature photographer. Although the weather outside my window intrigued me today. I found it strange, until I realized how beautiful the light was effecting my photos. I may be on to something.

Why am I already stressed about applying to universities? Oh right, because I want to have a sufficient portfolio. That's right. I just need to relax.

So i spent at least, 2 hours searching for photo albums in my basement.
I found nothing but useless crap of my step mums. Urgh.

I accomplished nothing but finding a few photos plus a deck of cards. Nice.

His memorial was so touching, kind of reminded me of my mothers funeral. People are so fascinated by Michael Jackson's life, and it's to sad that people didn't appreciate his music and his legacy until he died. He was completely ripped apart for being weird, and you kind of forget how much he influenced the people who are in the arts, and music lovers all over the world.

Being involved in dance, one of my teachers in particular, Aimee, loved him. Being in her class meant listening to Michael or Janet, it was so much fun. His dance moves always made their way into our routines. I can see many tributes to him this season.

I know my mum is up there having some chats with Michael.

RIP

Gay pride, water guns, Rick Mercer, American Apparel showing their support. Last Sunday was actually an amazing run in at the Gay Pride Parade on Young street. So colourful, and everyone is so happy, it was ridiculously refreshing. I recommended anyone going next year, it was such a good time. You get plenty of free condoms, ha!

Now that the summer is here, I keep thinking about how so much has changed since last summer. New people, new experiences, and thinking about how the new school year will be. Grade 12, senior year. Time to experience it to the fullest, there isn't any time for drama, just buckling down to get into a good university, make my dad proud, and just have fun.

I'm a little excited, but also trying to look at the summer as a blessing that it's a break before the mayhem begins in September.
